Guided Walk: Flora of Lower Swaledale

Friday 29 May 2020 11:00 - 15:00

Event No: 26

Mainly easy four-mile walk

Venue: St. Agatha's Church, Easby

Tickets are not due to go on sale until 09/03/2020.

A four-mile walk with Robert Hall and members of Yoredale Natural History Society. It’s mainly easy, but sometimes muddy. We’ll pass the 12th century Easby Abbey and cross the Swale at Richmond Green Bridge, below the Castle, returning via rich flower meadows and the old railway track-bed. Dogs on a lead are permitted.

Adult £7, Under 25 £3

Places are very limited so please book in advance. If a walk is sold out, you can call our office to add your name to the waiting list. Please let us know as early as possible if you are not going to use your walk ticket - we can’t offer refunds but someone else may be able to attend in your place. You’ll need sturdy boots, waterproofs and hat. For the longer walks bring lunch and water. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a lead, unless otherwise indicated. Coins for ticket machines are needed if starting from a car park. Published durations are approximate. We are grateful to Swaledale and Arkengarthdale Archaeology Group, Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority and Yoredale Natural History Society for leading some of our walks, and to Judy & Ian White who have generously supported the walks programme this year.
