4-mile walk looking at geology, archaeology, glaciation & mining

Venue: Raw Bank, near Arkle Town

A gentle to moderate 4-mile walk along tracks and open fell, with some ascent and descent, looking at geology, archaeology, glaciation and mining with members of Swaledale and Arkengarthdale Archaeology Group. No dogs please.

Adult £10, Under 25 £3

Places are limited so please book in advance. If a walk is sold out, you can call our office to add your name to the waiting list. Please let us know as early as possible if you are not going to use your walk ticket; we can’t offer refunds but someone else may be able to take your place. You’ll need sturdy boots, waterproofs and a hat. For the longer walks bring lunch and water. Coins for ticket machines may be needed. Published durations are approximate.
