7.5 mile walk and talk with Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust

Venue: Aysgarth Falls National Park Centre

A 7.5 mile walk and talk led by the Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust. The picturesque circular walk will include Carperby village, Ballowfields Local Nature Reserve, and the Ox Close SSSI, before returning via Freeholders’ Wood and Aysgarth Falls. The terrain is mainly easy with stiles and one steep rocky climb. No dogs please, as there are ground nesting birds and cows.

Adults £10; Under 25s £3

Places are very limited so please book in advance. If a walk is sold out, you can call our office to add your name to the waiting list. Please let us know as early as possible if you are not going to use your walk ticket; we can’t offer refunds but someone else may be able to take your place.

You’ll need sturdy boots, waterproofs and a hat. For the longer walks bring lunch and water. Coins for ticket machines may be needed. Published durations are approximate. Thanks to the Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust, Yoredale Natural History Society, Keld Resource Centre, the Woodland Trust, our walks co-ordinator Charles Collinson, all our walk leaders, and to our generous walks sponsors.
