St. Oswald's Church, Askrigg

St. Oswald

One of few Grade I listed buildings in North Yorkshire, it dates from the 15th century although there is evidence of earlier work. It was built in the Perpendicular style and possesses an embattled western tower.

Parking: limited parking is available on the main street and in the carpark at the north end of the village (DL8 3HD).  Additional sign-posted parking is sometimes available. Please park with consideration for local residents.

Accessibility: the church is fully accessible via the north door and has a single accessible toilet. Audience members may be dropped off on Mill Lane but drivers will need to park elsewhere. Please call the Festival office box office on  01748 880019 if you wish to discuss your needs and we will do our best to help.

Refreshments: tea, coffee and biscuits will be available inside the church.

Toilets: a single toilet is located inside the church. Please note the former public toilets in Askrigg have now unfortunately closed.
