Call-out for Board Members

We are seeking additional Board Members to strengthen our skillset and continue our drive to bring high-quality arts to rural communities. We are particularly keen on hearing from candidates with knowledge, experience and expertise in any of the following areas:

- IT
- Fundraising
- HR
- Youth projects
- Sustainability / environment

As well as the core Festival, we run an extensive community and education programme that takes outstanding musicians into schools and care homes to perform directly for pupils and residents, and over the last few years we have picked up six major national and international awards, including the prestigious Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service 2018.

Board member and Chair of the Festival Friends Elizabeth Bedford says: “It’s really rewarding being involved with something that is successful, provides pleasure to lots of people and brings vibrant arts to the Dales, as well as visitors and revenue. What would you get out of it? The sense of satisfaction that comes from contributing to a professional and well-run organisation, working with a stimulating bunch of people and having a lot of fun.”

To find out more or arrange an informal chat, please contact Swaledale Festival’s Chairman Sue Miller chairman@swalefest.org.
