Local choir sings The Sprig of Thyme by John Rutter, and more

Venue: St. Andrew's Church, Aysgarth

Following a triumphant performance of Handel’s Messiah in Ripon Cathedral last year, our local choir will sing Mirror of Perfection - a setting of the poetry of St. Francis of Assisi by Richard Blackford, and John Rutter’s arrangements of eleven folk songs collectively entitled The Sprig of Thyme. The soloists will be Louise Wayman (soprano) and Christopher Nairne (baritone). Corinne Johnson will play the piano and the concert will be conducted by Peter Stallworthy.

Parking: a special rate of £1.50 has been arranged for evening concert-goers to park in Aysgarth RCP carpark from 18:30 (near Aysgarth Falls Hotel). Please buy a £1.50 ticket from the machine and display it in your car with a brief note stating you are attending a concert at Aysgarth Church.
